Orthodontics

What is Orthodontics?

Orthodontics refers to a type of dentistry focused on the identification and treatment of malocclusion, or misaligned teeth.  Our Birminghamdental centre uses the latest developments in orthodontics to eliminate unsightly crooked teeth and correct dental health problems that come from overcrowding and crossing. The target is straight and healthy-looking smile.

When should you have Orthodontics?

Teeth straightening is usually done during adolescence but with new, more inconspicuous, technology teeth straightening is an option to people of all ages. Invisalign braces are barely noticeable so adults feel more comfortable wearing them and it can help improve the appearance and health of teeth.

Orthodontics requires highly-trained clinicians with experience gained over many successful procedures and at Hawkins Dental Practice we have demonstrated that over many years. A new smile can take as little as six weeks to 18 months and our team have the acute skills to achieve it. Orthodontic treatment is a complex undertaking and we have the right staff to give you the best treatment.

The Process

A consultation coupled with a full orthodontic examination including any necessary x-rays will create the outline for your individual treatment plan. Of course we encourage all our patients to ask questions of your dentist to clear any issues you may have so that your needs can be fully met.
